How do I write a fitness article in the face of our community receiving such a blow; so many faces that could easily be our own? I don’t.

I write about LIFE.

I write about living with greater savor in moment. That’s a good place to start at least.

What sort of state do we need to reach to realize THIS is the time? Do we need to be sick before we try Organic, or start cooking for ourselves with real, live ingredients?

This is the time for finally letting go of treating our bodies as if they will live forever and provide ourselves the best of what we can manage.

Why do diets have to start on Mondays?

Why do gym memberships have to be used when we finally get ‘more free time’ in the day? (Insider’s Tip: that time won’t come; you have to make the priority fit into your list of other priories.)

There are so many habits we can form, and many are ones we simply slip into without thought.

Fitness, wellness in general, is a habit that is formed by repeated decisions to choose to put you

first and go through the motions. You don’t have to like it. But you can do it because you’ve decided you’re worth the effort.

I don’t want to wait until I get cancer before I stop chewing tobacco everyday. So I stopped.

I won’t pretend that I am invincible, because every moment has potential that reaches far in so many directions.

Constant turning points that may be seized or ignored and I will not float lazily down this river without also steering my path!

You decide what it is that has value and meaning, and once you’ve set this criteria let the time for acting upon them be TODAY and let your friends know what you’re doing so they too can be inspired so that you are a positive force of change not just for you but those around you!
